Working Drug-Free Works
The purpose of the Working Drug-Free Works program is to educate employers, employees and the community about the importance of being drug-free as an essential component of a safe and healthy workplace. This resource highlights the significance of being drug-free, promotes workplace safety and encourages workers with drug and alcohol problems to seek help.
Impacts of Drug Use
Although this awareness resource is meant to focus on a drug-free workplace, we recognize the importance of an overall drug-free lifestyle. The reason why certain drugs are illegal or controlled is because scheduled drugs have a potential for abuse and can lead to physical or psychological dependance. Drug use has an effect on everyone including the individual, their friends and family, the environment and society.
Fargo Cass Public Health is pleased to partner with the Fargo Police Department, local law enforcement and other community organizations in promoting this resource in our community.
